This compilation presents the winning essays from the 2007 Young Voices in Research for Health competition, which has been jointly sponsored by the Global Forum for Health Research and The Lancet.

Entries were invited from young professionals working on or interested in the broad spectrum of research for health. 

The theme was: Equitable access: research challenges for health in developing countries.
