New Web Gateway Aids Health Providers Access Nutrition Information

Dear colleagues,

The AED-SATELLIFE Center for Health Information and Technology is pleased to announce the launch of a new and updated gateway on Nutrition, part of the Essential Health Links Gateway (http://www.healthnet.org/essential-links). 
 
Essential Health Links (EHL) connects users to over 700 health/medical websites selected by experts for their reliability, accuracy, and relevancy. Specifically designed for health professionals in low-income countries, the EHL Nutrition is the leading gateway of its kind, authoritatively identifying pertinent and valuable web sites on a variety of important topics in nutrition: 
 
--Diet and Chronic Disease; 
--Food security;
--General Nutrition; 
--Micronutrients; 
--Mother and Child Nutrition; 
--Severe Acute Malnutrition and Emergencies
 
Nutrition and HIV are issues are addressed in most of these sub-topics.
 
The websites in each sub-topic were selected because they give valid and often-updated information that is particularly relevant to situations in ?low-income countries?, and have links to important publications and other related sites. This means there should be only a ?short journey? to the majority of key sites in this area of nutrition. The sites are checked often to make sure the url or 'address' is still correct.
