The biggest problem with all these malaria programs is the lack of a vector control component and a lack of accountability. Without these two components, I believe, other efforts will prove futile. Without a comprehensive vector control program the re-infection rates will continue, leading to greater resistance to drugs by the parasite.

A well run comprehensive and integrated program can rapidly stop the transmission of malaria. Coupled with the medical treatment of infected people, malaria can be eradicated, not just simply decreased.
