Dear colleagues,

The Africa Civil Society Coalition on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health is accepting membership applications.

The Africa MNCH Coalition was set up to promote access to quality, efficient and equitable reproductive, maternal and child health, and related services for African women and children. Key objectiveâs of the Coalition includes: to mobilize and coordinate civil society actors, and engage with key ministerial, parliamentary sectors; policy and decision makers to advance integrated action on a diverse range of interrelated MNCH issues.

The coalition is a platform to ensure robust, effective and coordinated African CS work for integrated implementation of African and global Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health policies.

Recognizing the link between increasing global and regional interests and initiatives, the coalition provides a platform to harness and compliment these interests and initiatives by building capacity of, mobilization of indigenous African led civil society organisations, academia, professional groups, women, youth, children and media to constructively engage in both African and global efforts.

Coalitions Objectives:
Key objectives of the Africa MNCH Coalition include: to help mobilise, coordinate and build capacity of a wide range of African civil society actors for evidence based advocacy, including engaging key Ministerial and Parliamentary sectors, African regional institutions; and global stakeholders.

Vision:
The coalition envisions an African continent where there is Universal Access to Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Services, and where women and children receive the care and social development support needed to live healthy, reproductive lives

Membership:
Membership is open to all African Civil Society Organisations including academia, professional groups, women, youth, children and the media based groups promoting Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.
