In every country and many states and provinces, health economics play, or should play, an important role in policy and operational decisions to improve health services for citizens. But how can health systems be more effective, efficient, and equitable?
This e-learning course introduces the concept of equity and efficiency of health economics, explains what markets are and how they are different in the health sector and illustrates health financing mechanisms, health insurance options and remuneration in the health sector.
