| Notes/Abstract | The majority of life expectancy gained through the course of the 20th century in both developing and developed countries, happened due to advances in hygiene, public health, and prevention. The importance of prevention was well known to ancient Greeks as early as 5th century AD through the work of Hippocrates, however many people still do not completely understand its significance to global health. The purpose of the golden lecture is to teach a million people world wide about prevention. |
